Some of the sketches from last month. Finally I managed to add more colors within the limited time.

Chandana and Dana
Here two of the latest drawings; Chandana with charcoal and Dana with charcoal pencil and chalk.
Hopefully I’ll get the time to blog about the workshop in Scorze, Italy soon….
Portrait of Flip
Another try of a portrait with oil paint, still too much of a drawing I think. But he looks like Flip, our model 🙂 I finished the painting with some lines with charcoal pencil.
Laura
Wednesday evening Laura was our model. She works at a famous Dutch museum, very interesting! In the second image I tried to sketch just a detail with charcoal and charcoal pencil and in the last one I only used charcoal, trying to make no lines. Just ‘painting’ with the side of the charcoal stick and wiping with my finger. That’s a total different experience…
Mike, male model
Last Wednesday Mike was our model. We don’t have male models often, so it’s always a bit of a challenge to draw the different kind of features and musculature that the male figure has. Here are two of the sketches of Mike made with charcoal pencil:
The last few days I was in Scorze, Italy not far from Venice and saw the beautiful sculptures you find at the Villa’s. I did draw some of them; they’re so patient 🙂 Will be blogging about that soon.
Sunday session with Linde
Such a beautiful Sunday morning in September; a live drawing session with one of our favorite models Linde. Three of the sketches here with chalk, charcoal pencil and ink brush pen. Some of them were 15 min, the last one 1 minute:
Maria-Louisa
A beautiful model from Italy posed for us last Sunday. She is a ballet dancer and very petite, I found it not so easy to sketch her features. Plus it was some time ago since I joined our drawing session; I chose to go back to simple lines with charcoal pencil. Like usual, poses vary between 5 and 10-15 minutes. Here are 3 of the sketches. In the 2nd sketch I added some color with chalk.
(about 40/50cm)
(20/35cm)
(30/25cm)
Some things seem to have changed on wordpress; a couple of the earlier drawings don’t have the zoom option anymore. I hope these will have that again.
